2 Kings 5:13–14 (ESV): “13 But his servants came near and said to him, “My father, it is a great word the prophet has spoken to you; will you not do it? Has he actually said to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” 14 So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”
Doubt is the nemesis of faith. If we are seeking the God of the impossible we must be willing to trust Him and walk by faith. Don't doubt God. Believe and you will see His hand move miraculously.
Naaman was the commander of the army in Syria. He was honorable and a man of valor. He was also a leper. He sought Jehoram, the king of Judah, for healing. The king tore his clothes knowing he possessed no ability to help Naaman. When Elisha heard about it, he sent for Naaman to appear before him. Elisha then told him to wash himself seven times in the Jordan, which made Naaman upset. He was about to return home, but his servants convinced him to do what Elisha had instructed him. He did so and was healed.
Are you walking in doubt like Naaman was? Perhaps God has put some faith-filled people around you to encourage you to trust the Lord in your circumstances. It might seem silly what God might ask you to do, but do it anyway! We don't need to know why. Just be obedient and watch Him move. Stop doubting that God will do it for you. He loves you. Have some faith in the One who spoke the world into existence. He can handle your issues. Just trust Him.
Father, forgive us for doubting you so often. Help us to walk by faith. We believe and trust You in all things we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
