Mark 5:18-20

Mark 5:18-20: “18 As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged him that he might be with him. 19 And he did not permit him but said to him, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled.”

Personal testimony is a powerful tool God uses to point people to Himself. It is difficult to argue with a genuinely changed life. Share your transformation story, Christian—God will use it.

Imagine coming face to face with a man whom society had completely written off, only to see him transformed by a single encounter with Jesus Christ. That is exactly what happened to the demon-possessed man in Gadara. He was filled with demons, yet with a single command Jesus set him free. The people who knew him before were astonished and afraid because they never imagined someone they considered beyond hope could be completely changed. Rather than allowing the man to follow Him, Jesus instructed him to go home and tell others the great things God had done for him. As he shared his testimony throughout the Decapolis, everyone marveled.

Are you using your transformation story to point people to Jesus? Every person who has been born again has a miraculous story worth telling. Jesus saved you, transformed your life, and continues to conform you to His image. Your changed life is a powerful testimony, Christian. You do not have the right to remain silent. Go tell your story and let God receive the glory He alone deserves.

Father, Your redemptive love for us is beyond comprehension. Help us spread the good news by simply telling our story. You alone deserve the praise for what You have done in our lives. Give us boldness to proclaim Your work to everyone You place in our path. In Jesus’ name, amen.
