Mark 12:43-44

Mark 12:43-44:“43And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.””

No one has ever reached their spiritual pinnacle by playing it safe. You have to go all in if you want to become the worshiper God made you to be. Hold nothing back, Christian. You will be blessed for it.

Jesus and His disciples were sitting near the treasury in the Temple while people brought their offerings. Person after person came and gave to God. Many rich people gave large sums, but then a poor widow came and gave two small coins—all she had. Jesus said to His disciples, “This poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering.” She gave out of her poverty. She went all in, and Jesus took notice.

Did you know it’s not about how much you give that matters? It’s the sacrifice that God looks at. When we give to the point that it impacts our daily lives, we learn to trust God in a deeper way. Why? Because that’s when God is taking His proper place in our lives and we are trusting Him instead of what we possess. It’s not about the dollar amount; it’s about the cost of the offering. Go all in, worshiper, and watch how God grows you through it.

Father, how worthy You are of every sacrifice we make to worship You. You made the ultimate sacrifice for us. Let us hold nothing back in our worship of You. We pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.
