TIM ROMERO

In 2004, Pastor Tim experienced a calling to ministry during his early morning Bible reading. Seeking guidance, he embarked on an intensive discipleship program for pastoral ministry, culminating in his ordination by Pastor Don Haskins in 2007. During this time, God was preparing a significant transition in his life. Pastor Tim and his wife, Sonja, were co-owners of a rapidly growing dietary supplement manufacturing business, which God would use to unveil His greater purpose for their family.

In the summer of 2007, Tim, Sonja, and their four children, Crue, Silas, Zoie, and Jude, relocated to Columbia, Tennessee. During this move, it became evident that God was calling them to establish a Calvary Chapel in the area.

Calvary Chapel of Columbia was founded in 2009, with its first Saturday night service held in the home of Pastor Tim and Sonja Romero. Pastor Tim teaches verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book, and writes a daily Bible study on the church blog.
