2 Kings 6:16-17

2 Kings 6:16–17 (ESV): “16 He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

We never face our battles alone.  God sends angelic hosts to war on our behalf.  Be encouraged, you are not alone!

When the king of Syria was going to war against Israel, the Lord revealed his plan to Elisha.  When his plan failed, the king of Syria searched his camp to find the mole who leaked the plan, but one of his servants said it was Elisha.  He sent an army to surround Dothan and capture Elisha.  When Elisha’s servant saw the army, he feared greatly, but Elisha prayed that his eyes would be opened to the spiritual realm.  He saw a vast angelic army and took comfort that God was with them.

Do you feel like you are alone in your trial today?   Know that God has angelic hosts with you.   They are warring on your behalf.  Remember, only one-third of the angels fell with Satan so God’s army outnumbers the demonic, two to one!  God is with you.  He will give you the victory.  Pray for your spiritual eyes to be opened.  You will see that you are not facing your trials alone.   God has your back!  Amen?

Father, we thank You that You are with us always.  We know we don't wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers.  Open our eyes to see those who stand with us, and that victory is ours in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
