Daniel 12:11-13

Daniel 12:11-13 (ESV): 11 And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days. 13 But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.”

Although God is outside of time and space, He works within specific timeframes and in our physical realm to accomplish His purposes. Everything happens in accordance with His perfect timing.

Daniel was so curious about what had been revealed to him that he wanted to know more of the specifics. Yet he was told that it wasn’t for him to know, but that greater understanding would come in the future. The Lord did give Daniel a specific timeframe—1,290 days from the time the sacrifices cease and the abomination that makes desolate is revealed to the coming of Messiah. The 1,335 days mentioned is generally understood to include an additional 45-day period (1290 + 45) for the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom. Nothing else was revealed to Daniel about this latter-days prophecy.

Did you know that the understanding of biblical prophecy has increased tremendously in the past 150 years? God is preparing the world for the Rapture, the Second Coming, and the Millennial Kingdom. All of it will unfold exactly according to His plan. Rest in His timing—and be ready, for the Rapture is imminent. Amen?

Father, we thank You for giving us understanding of Your prophetic plan and timeline. When the time comes, may we be found doing Your will. We pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
