Isaiah 6:8 (ESV): “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
God is looking for willing servants to send into the harvest field. He is not into forced labor. He will never make you share the Gospel — but He is looking. Who will go for Him?
Isaiah had the extraordinary privilege of seeing God on His throne. This vision came at just the right time because King Uzziah of Judah had died. Isaiah was discouraged, but God encouraged him up by revealing that He was still on His throne. Isaiah then heard the Lord say, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” He willingly responded, “Here I am, send me!” Isaiah was called and sent by God because he was willing to go. Are you?
Are you willing to go into all the world for the Lord? We have been sent by Jesus. He said, “Go into all the world.” Yet He will not force you to be His voice. He is looking for willing vessels to manifest His love and grace through. His voice is still crying out, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” He is awaiting the response of Isaiah from us: “Here I am, send me.” There is a great harvest for those who are willing to go. Amen?
Father, what a privilege it is to be called and sent by You. May we always remember that You use our weaknesses more than our strengths — which means You can use anyone. Here I am, send me, Lord! I am Your willing servant; use me, I pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
