Daniel 3:25

Daniel 3:25 (ESV):  “He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.””

Life has no shortage of fiery trials. However, we don’t have to face them alone. The Lord is with us, and He will guide us to victory in every instance. Rest in Jesus.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego defied King Nebuchadnezzar’s command to bow to an idol and were therefore thrown into a scorching hot fiery furnace. As the king gazed into the fire, he was astonished to see them walking around unharmed. Most surprising of all, there were now four men in the fire—and the fourth looked like “a son of the gods.” It was Jesus walking through the trial with His people. Nebuchadnezzar called to them, and they stepped out of the flames without a single burn. The Lord had protected them in the fire.

Who are you looking to when you encounter trials of various kinds? If you look within, you will find weakness. If you look around to others, you will find limitation. But if you look to Jesus, you will find all that you need to overcome the trial. He is the fourth man in your fire, and He will see you through. Rest in the capable hands of Jesus, friend. He will protect you from the flames the enemy intends for evil and will use them for your good. Trust the Lord! Amen?

Father, we thank You that we don’t have to face the trials of this life alone. You are always present and working to accomplish Your purposes through every hardship we endure. Have Your way in us, and help us to look to no one else but You for all we need to overcome. We pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
