Daniel 7:21-22

Daniel 7:21-22(ESV): “21 As I looked, this horn made war with the saints and prevailed over them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given for the saints of the Most High, and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom.”

The days ahead are far beyond anything this world has ever seen. The rise of the beast system and the Antichrist will be incredibly dreadful. They will prevail over the saints for a time—but fear not, for our great God and Savior will crush them and establish His kingdom on the earth.

Daniel was given a vision of four creatures that correspond to the same four empires represented in Nebuchadnezzar’s statue: Babylon as a lion, the Medes and Persians as a bear, the Grecians as a leopard, and finally the Romans as a beast with iron teeth. From this fourth empire came ten horns representing ten kings, and a little horn who is the Antichrist. He will rise out of the revived Roman Empire and dominate the world. He will even overcome the Tribulation Saints—but his end will come when Christ returns. Then the kingdom of God will be given to the saints, and Jesus will rule and reign on the earth for a thousand years!

Are you aware that the world will not become a better place before Jesus returns? It will be a dreadful place prior to His coming. That’s why we are called to live for the Kingdom of God, because this world is passing away (1 John 2:17; 2 Peter 3:10). So what kingdom are you living for—the one that is here and is coming (Luke 17:21), or the one that is passing away? I exhort you to live for the Kingdom of God. Amen?

Father, thank You for revealing to us the things to come so that we can stay on mission for Your Kingdom. Keep us centered on Your Son and living in expectation of His return. We pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.
