Exodus 40:34-35

Exodus 40:34–35 (ESV): “34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”

God is ever-present in our lives because He dwells in us. However, our ability to sense His presence is tied to our obedience to Him. When we are disobedient its difficult to sense His presence. That is by design. Walk in obedience and be faithful to repent when you don't and you will never have to worry about not sensing His presence.

After constructing the frame, tapestry, and furniture, the Lord instructed Moses to set up the Tabernacle on the first day of the first month. It was to be arranged per God’s instructions and the tent and furniture were to be anointed with oil to consecrate them unto the Lord. Aaron and his sons were to be anointed and consecrated as well. After this, the cloud descended on the Tent of Meeting and the Lord filled the Tabernacle with His glory. God was present and would lead these people just like He said He would (Ex 33:14).

Aren't you glad that God is present in your life? What causes a break in His fellowship with you is disobedience (1 Jn 1:6). Moses and the people did all that the Lord commanded them. They were obedient and thus they experienced the tangible presence of God. So too will you if you walk in obedience. If you find yourself alone in the sense that you have a break in your fellowship with God, confess your sins and God will restore His fellowship with you (1 Jn 1:9). God is present in this relationship, are you?

Father, we thank You for filling us with Your presence. Forgive us for walking astray at times. Restore our fellowship so that we can sense Your presence always we pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
