Isaiah 4:2-4

Isaiah 4:2-4 (ESV):  “In that day the branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and honor of the survivors of Israel. And he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy, everyone who has been recorded for life in Jerusalem, 4 when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the bloodstains of Jerusalem from its midst by a spirit of judgment and by a spirit of burning.

The Millennial Kingdom is coming—but not without a purging first. The Lord will purify His Kingdom through the Tribulation, and only the Branch of the Lord will enter the Millennium. In the meantime, those who are in Christ today are His branches, called to be holy as He is holy. So represent Him well.

Isaiah speaks of the Branch of the LORD that will exist during the Millennial reign. This refers to those who survive the Tribulation—both Jew and Gentile—who come to Christ during that time of purging. They will enter a Kingdom marked by holiness, though not yet perfection. That final state is still to come. For 1,000 years, they will experience a season of fruitfulness and peace, until the final rebellion occurs (Rev. 20:7–10), after which perfection will be ushered in.

Did you know that those who are in Christ today are the branches of this age (John 15:5)? As we abide in Him, we will reflect Him—not perfectly, but wholeheartedly. We are the forerunners of the Millennial saints, who will be His branch during His earthly reign. Until He returns to take His throne, may we live in such a way that brings glory to His name. Amen?

Father, thank You for making us holy through Your Son. Help us live wholeheartedly for You until the day You return or call us home. Use our lives to bring many to glory, we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
