Isaiah 7:14

Isaiah 7:14 ( ESV):  “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Jesus is the answer for you and me in every scenario of life. He is the Promised Child who brings hope to a dark world. Look to Jesus, and you will find hope in Him.

Isaiah was given a prophetic word about a Promised Child at a time when all hope seemed lost in Judah. Syria and Israel had joined forces to wage war against Judah, and in fear, King Ahaz made an ungodly alliance with the Assyrians. Rather than trust in God, he chose to rely on man. In response, God gave him a sign—the sign of a child. The purpose of this sign was to show Ahaz that God was in control and would deliver Judah soon. Ultimately, this prophecy found its fulfillment in the birth of Jesus Christ.

Where is your hope found? If it’s in anything other than God, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. God has given us hope through the Promised Child—Immanuel, “God with us.” He meets us in every circumstance of life. So cry out to Jesus, friend. He has come. He is present in your life. Don’t just acknowledge Him—put your full trust in Him alone. He is sufficient for you, no matter what you face. Amen?

Father, we thank You for the Promised Child, Jesus Christ—born miraculously of a virgin. He is our hope and the One we look to even now. Keep us centered on Him so that we may fulfill Your will. We pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.
