Joshua 5:12 (ESV): “12 And the manna ceased the day after they ate of the produce of the land. And there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.”
God is faithful to provide. He doesn't promise to supply in the same way forever but He is faithful to provide all of our needs.
After the children of Israel crossed over the Jordan all the males were circumcised. The flesh was cut off and the reproach of Egypt was removed at Gilgal. While the people were encamped there the time to celebrate Passover came. The day after Passover, God ceased providing manna for them to eat. He would now provide produce from the land. They ate unleavened cakes and parched grain from the land from this day forward.
Do you trust God to provide for you regularly? It's easy to grow so accustomed to how He provides that when He changes things up it can freak us out. The Lord’s got you. He won't fail to provide for you but He might change up how and what He provides. It's His provisions through the produce of the land just as much as it is through the manna. Rest in Him. He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider!
Father, we thank You for providing for all of our needs. Help us not to grow so accustomed to how You provide that when You change things up we become fearful. May we trust in You in all things we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
