Numbers 20:20-21

Numbers 20:20–21 (ESV): “20 But he said, “You shall not pass through.” And Edom came out against them with a large army and with a strong force. 21 Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his territory, so Israel turned away from him.”

Opposition to Israel as a nation has always existed. The enemy opposes those who represent God. Don't be surprised when you are opposed because of your faith. It's standard business practices of the demonic.

As Israel approached the Promised Land for entry Moses sent a request to the king of Edom for permission to pass through their land. They were relatives, you would think the king would allow them to pass through. Not the case. Moses made a second request, it was a hard NO from the king. To make it super clear, Edom came out against Israel physically. This was the handy work of the devil. He stands in opposition to God always. He will not prevail though.

Do you sense the opposition from the dark side today? It can come in all shapes and sizes, even by way of family members. Do not fret for God is with you. Don't take opposition personally. Know the source and then trust God. He has a plan through the opposition and nothing will stand in His way of accomplishing it. He’s got you. Stay surrendered and do not fear. Amen?

Father, we thank You that although we face much opposition You are with us. May we trust You and rest in Your favor we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
