1 Chronicles 13:3-4

1 Chronicles 13:3–4 (ESV): 03 Then let us bring again the ark of our God to us, for we did not seek it in the days of Saul.” 4 All the assembly agreed to do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.”

A good leader will be a God-seeker.   He will not just be a person who says the right things but lives it out.  This is the only way to make a nation great (again).

David won over the people of Israel because God ordained him to be King.  Unlike Saul, David never forgot where his appointment came from. “From day to day, men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like an army of God (vs 22).”   The one thing that made David successful was that he was a God-seeker.  Once the people were assembled, David proclaimed that the Ark of God should be in their midst.   It was a symbol of worship and a sign to all that God was in their midst.   This is why David was a great leader.

Are you following a God-seeker today?  We aren't looking for a man who says the right things but who demonstrates it in how they live.  Times are deceptive, and thus it has become increasingly difficult to know who is who.  Trust the Spirit and look for leaders who seek the Lord.  These kinds of people will put your organization, institution, or nation on the right path.  It is the one attribute that can change everything.  Most of all, be this kind of leader!

Father, we thank You for showing us the most important attribute of any leader.  We are desperate for this kind of leadership in our nation.  Put Your man in that spot for Your purposes we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
