Deuteronomy 3:21–22 (ESV): “21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, ‘Your eyes have seen all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings. So will the Lord do to all the kingdoms into which you are crossing. 22 You shall not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who fights for you.’”
Fear ensnares the heart and stops people from becoming what God has called them to be. Faith is how we overcome fear. Believe God and trust His Word and fear will never captivate you!
Moses pleaded with God to allow him to go into the Promised Land but God said, “Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again…charge Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he shall go over at the head of this people, and he shall put them in possession of the land that you shall see.’” Moses encouraged Joshua not to allow fear to get in the way of his destiny. Moses told Joshua that he shouldn’t fear the enemies of the land because God would fight the battles for him just like he had already witnessed.
Is fear stopping you from being who God has called you to be? Look back on your life and remember the great things that God has done. May what you have seen God do in the past fuel your faith to press forward as the Lord has commanded you. No enemy can withstand Him. Satan has no power against Him. Believe and trust the Lord, Christian! He is mighty and
able to overcome any obstacle or enemy.
