Matthew 1:18

Matthew 1:18 (ESV): “Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.”

Miracles fill the pages of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. But not all miracles are equal. The greatest miracle this world has ever witnessed is the coming of Jesus Christ through the womb of Mary. This is the miracle above all miracles—without rival, without comparison!

Matthew records for us the staggering miracle of Christ’s arrival. His coming did not happen by accident; it fulfilled the prophetic Word of God with precision and power. Mary was divinely conceived by the Holy Spirit. Yes, to human eyes it appeared scandalous—a betrothed woman found pregnant before the consummation of her marriage. But what looked questionable to man was sovereignly orchestrated by God. The eternal Son stepped into time. The Creator entered His creation. God wrapped Himself in flesh and became subject to the very world He made. Let that sink in!

Do you truly believe God is still in the miracle-working business? Then believe Him boldly! Trust Him audaciously! He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than all we ask or think. If the infinite God could be placed in a virgin’s womb and become an infant, then there is absolutely nothing beyond His reach. What impossible situation are you facing today? Bring it to Him. Ask in faith. Stand in expectancy. Refuse to shrink back in doubt. He became an infant for you—there is nothing beyond His power. Amen?

Father, You are great and glorious. Nothing is too hard for You. We ask right now for the miracle You know we need. Strengthen our faith to trust You fully and to wait on Your perfect will. We ask it boldly in Jesus’ name, amen.
