Matthew 25:31-32 (ESV): “31 “When •the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 •Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.”
God is in the saving business. He loves every person, no matter what they have done, and desires for them to be saved through surrendering to Jesus Christ and His glorious Gospel. It is the only way to be saved.
As Jesus continues the Olivet Discourse, He makes a prophetic declaration regarding the separation of the sheep (saved people) from the goats (unsaved people). Just before the Millennial Kingdom begins, Jesus judges those who have survived the Tribulation. The sheep belong to Jesus, and only they will enter the Millennial Kingdom. The goats will be cast into Hades, awaiting the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev. 20:11–15).
Did you know that God sees only two kinds of people in the world? The saved and the unsaved, the sheep and the goats. He desires for you to be saved, so He sent Jesus to be your atoning sacrifice. Only faith in Jesus can save. You do not want to hear the words, “Depart from Me,” when you stand before God. Surrender your life to Jesus, and He will give you life—and life more abundantly.
Father, thank You for providing a way for us to be saved by sending Your own Son to die for us. Draw those who do not know You, and use those who do know You to be messengers of Your glorious Gospel. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen!
