Zechariah 14:4 (ESV): “On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.”
It’s been said that God is never late but always on time. It can feel like He is late, but He isn’t. He is simply allowing things to come to the perfect moment when He will intervene. You can trust Him!
The final chapter of Zechariah speaks of the final three and a half years of the Tribulation Period, when Israel is surrounded and attacked, and her women will be raped. This is not a reference to the destruction in 70 AD, but to a still-future event. When all seems lost, Jesus will come with all the saints (Rev. 19:14) and set His feet upon the Mount of Olives. It will split in two, creating a valley that runs north and south. He will provide a way of escape for His people.
What are you facing today that has you in a place of hopelessness? Understand, the Lord is in the business of providing a way of escape. He did it when all hope was lost in the Garden of Eden because of sin, and He will do it again and again throughout the course of your life. Never lose hope. The Lord is with you, and He will intervene at the right time and provide a way of escape for you. If you are still breathing, then He has a plan. You are in good hands, so rest in them. Amen?
Father, thank You for the prophetic Word that demonstrates Your presence in all circumstances and shows how You use the trials of this life to accomplish Your plan. Help us never to lose hope, regardless of what we face. We pray all these things in Jesus’ name, amen.
